Candles By Desire Identity
Candles By Desire commissioned this brief to us back in 2015. The logo and brand needed a bit of a transformation. The new identity aimed to satisfy all of the existing expectations of what the original mark stood for, while simultaneously moving the brand forward.
Aiming at creating a more recognisable and meaningful mark was the primary goal. And was achieved by carefully deconstructing the existing mark and studying its shapes, angles and weight, while also giving it a more consistent colour change.
The icon that was developed was inspired by (surprise) a candle. The inconsistency between the length of each line is constructed to represent the melting of a candle's wax.
